Alcyone Plantation

Alcyone Plantation is a private gated residence canopied with magnificent old live oaks draped in Spanish moss. The property is located 15 miles South of Valdosta, Georgia and sits on 900 acres of land with a 50-acre picturesque lake located directly behind the main house.

Our job was to create a web presence that would showcase this beautiful location and target those interested in having weddings and events on the grounds. We came up with a brown color scheme to match the beautiful oak trees that are so iconic of the plantation. Drop down menus were added at the top of the page with large rotating banners below to give the visitor an immediate idea of just how gorgeous Alcyone actually is. To see more, visitors can select EXPLORE which gives them an option to view an image slideshow set to music. Those interested in weddings can jump right over to the wedding page and browse images from photographers who have shot weddings on the plantation. This site also features a blog and contact page.

We maintain this site almost completely so the owners of the plantation can focus on hosting weddings and events.

We completed Valdosta Weddings.com about eight months ago and the results have been phenomenal. This site has reached the first page of the most popular search engines such as Google for almost any search related to weddings in the Valdosta, Georgia area. This site has a clean design and loads very fast offering information for brides, wedding planners, and anybody interested in weddings. Another feature is a listing of wedding vendors to help brides who are planning their wedding and just want to know what wedding professionals exist in the area.
